Female ejaculation “Squirting or Gushing” is caused when fluid from the vagina is released during or before an orgasm. Somewhere between 10-50% of women report ejaculating during orgasm (depending on the survey).
So, where and what is this fluid?
Around our urethra (where we pee from) are our paraurethral glands called Skene’s gland. The Skene glands are located on the top part of our vagina, below the urethra. This gland drains into our urethra and is also located near our G-SPOT.
The Skene’s gland counterpart in men is the prostate gland. Some have termed the Skene’s glands the female prostate. the prostate provides the fluid for the male ejaculate, so it makes since that the Skene’s gland would also provide fluid for women, as well as possible cause ejaculate in women when aroused.
Why some when ejaculate and others do not is unclear. Supposable the bigger the skene's gland it the more likely a women will “squirt. "The bigger the glands, the more of a squirter a woman is. So, If you do “squirt it is normal, and if you don’t that is normal too!
